General Information

Who is eligible for a student ticket?

Anyone who is a full time student (12 hours undergraduate or 9 hours graduate) and has a valid University of Kentucky Student ID card.  Your athletics fee must also be paid with your tuition each semester.  BCTC students MUST register and pay the athletics fee online in order to be eligible to purchase student tickets. BCTC students should click here to pay the athletics fee.

Admission to Games

Football: Present your valid UK student ID card and game ticket at Student Gate #1 at Commonwealth Stadium. Gates open two hours prior to kickoff.

Basketball: Present your valid UK Student ID card and game ticket at the Patterson Street entrance of Rupp Arena. Gates open 1.5 hours prior to tipoff.

Ticket Types

Family Tickets: A student may obtain a spouse/child card for all home games with the presentation of a marriage certificate or birth certificate. These cards are intended only for the spouse of a married student or the child of a student.

These cards are available at the UK Ticket Office in the Joe Craft Center (behind Memorial Coliseum), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For football, interested students should obtain a spouse/child card prior to the first football ticket distribution (usually mid-August). For basketball, interested students should obtain a spouse/child card prior to the first basketball ticket lottery (usually early November). You will need a separate card for football and basketball.

Disability Types: Proof of temporary or permanent disability must be presented to the Disability Resource Center in Room 2, Alumni Gym (257-2754). You must request these tickets at the Disability Resource Center by 4:00 p.m. on the Friday before each distribution to ensure availability.

Guest Tickets: If available, full price guest tickets will be sold on the following days:

  • Football - Third day of football distribution from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. -$70 for Louisville game; $40 for conference games; $35 for other non-conference games
  • Basketball - Third day of basketball distribution from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - $33 lower level, $28 upper level

NO STUDENT TICKETS OBTAINED DURING DISTRIBUTION SHALL BE CONVERTED INTO GUEST TICKETS


Football Season Ticket Distribution

As of July 14, we have SOLD OUT of student season tickets.  We will have a limited number of student tickets available at each single game distribution (see below for distribution dates).  Only students without a season ticket will be eligible to purchase single game tickets.

Season tickets for full time students go on sale each spring for the upcoming fall season. Tickets cost the normal price of a student ticket times the number of games in the upcoming season (7 games X $5.00 = $35.00). BCTC students MUST register and pay an "athletics fee" online in order to be eligible to purchase student tickets. BCTC students should click here to pay the athletics fee. Guest season tickets are available by providing proof of relation to a spouse or a child. Cost for guest tickets are the cost of normal season tickets, either $235 for sideline or $200 for end zone. Spouse/Child season tickets must be ordered at the ticket office. Seats are assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Football Single Game Distribution

Remaining distributions (10/5 and 11/9):

Tickets are $5.00 and are sold to students only on Monday and Tuesday at the Joe Craft Center and the Student Center Ticket Office. Students may purchase both student and full price guest tickets (if available) at the Joe Craft Center and the Student Center Ticket Office beginning on Wednesday of distribution week. Remaining tickets may be purchased at Commonwealth Stadium on game day, if available.  **If you are not able to get a ticket during normal distributions, you may check on the day of each football game at the stadium ticket booth beginning 2 hours prior to kick-off.  Any student season tickets that are not picked up by the day of each game will be re-sold at Commonwealth Stadium on game-days.  These tickets will be $5 each, and you must show your student ID to purchase one.

Please note that you may purchase up to five (5) additional student tickets if you present five (5) valid UK student ID cards. **UK reserves the right to reduce this number based on student ticket availability for certain games. This limit has been reduced to ONE (1) ticket for the lottery on 9/9.

  • Only Valid UK student Wildcard IDs (Version 2.0) will be accepted...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Basketball Distribution - 2009

The two exhibition games vs. Campbellsville (11/2) and Clarion (11/6), along with the Morehead State game (Nov. 13) will go on sale Monday, October 19 at 9:00 a.m. There will be no ticket lottery. Tickets can be purchased at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office. Both student and guest tickets will be available beginning Monday, October 19.

Basketball Lottery Procedure

IMPORTANT - STUDENTS PLEASE READ! - UK ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO FINAL BASKETBALL LOTTERY ON FEBRUARY 8TH

  • $5 per game - Tickets sold to students ONLY
  • For the February 8th basketball lottery, doors to the Coliseum will open between 8:00 - 8:30 pm. If you choose to sit with a particular person(s), please enter with that person(s). You will be handed a number when you enter the coliseum. Due to building capacity restrictions, a maximum of 8,000 students will be allowed into Memorial Coliseum for the lottery.  Students will not be allowed to line up at Memorial Coliseum any earlier than 6:00 pm Monday evening.

Students will be called down to the floor in numerical order groups that are randomly determined to purchase their tickets. You must present your valid UK Student ID card at this time. Prior to the lottery, BGCTC students MUST register and pay an "athletics fee" online in order to be eligible to purchase student tickets for the year. BGCTC students should click here to pay the athletics fee. Your ticket may then be purchased for $5.00 per game. You cannot present another student's ID for additional tickets.

Basketball Distribution Procedure - Remaining Days of Sale
Tickets are $5.00 and are sold only to students on Tuesday (or Wednesday if the lottery was on Tuesday night) at the Joe Craft Center ticket office. Students may purchase both student and full-price guest tickets (if available) on Wednesday (or Thursday if the lottery was on Tuesday night). Please note that you may purchase up to five (5) additional student tickets if you present five (5) valid UK Student ID cards. **UK reserves the right to reduce this number based on student ticket availability for certain games.  **If any tickets remain after the lottery on 2/8, students who did not purchase tickets at the lottery will be allowed to buy one (1) ticket per game - you may NOT bring additional IDs.  Please note -  We do NOT expect to have any guest tickets for sale on February 10th.

Only UK Student Wildcard IDs (Version 2.0) will be accepted.....NO EXCEPTIONS!
