The University Of Kentucky volleyball team has started preseason workouts in preparation for the 2000 campaign. The Wildcats open their season Aug. 31 against Southern Methodist in the SMU Double Tree Invitational.

The senior tandem of setter Whitney Sample and middle blocker April Barnhorst are expected to lead the Cats to success this season.
