LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Kentucky volleyball team is set to embark on a two week trip to Europe as a part of the Bring It program. The Wildcats will have the opportunity to play seven matches against teams ranging from European professionals to Junior National teams while experiencing the culture of five different countries.

Head coach Craig Skinner and his squad will leave the United States on May 11 and travel to Prague in the Czech Republic to begin their two week journey. The Wildcats will also make stops in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.

"This will be an incredible experience for the team to compete against the top level of competition in Europe," Skinner said. "We will get to compete against experienced players with different styles of play which will help us prepare for the 2010 season."

Kentucky will play seven matches while overseas against professional, club and national teams.

Additionally, the UK players and staff will have the opportunity to tour the cities of Prague, Vienna, Maribor, Pula, Venice and Rome.

"Our players are going to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity while gaining a familiarity of some different cultures," Skinner said. "It's a great learning and life experience for college aged student athletes."

While in Europe, the Wildcats have promised to account their day-to-day activities through pictures, videos and blogs. Follow along with the Blue and White right here on UKathletics.com.
