LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky volleyball team continues its four-week spring exhibition season on Saturday, April 6, when it plays host to the Kentucky Spring Tournament. Joining the Wildcats in the one-day event are Evansville, Morehead State, Western Kentucky and Wright State.

The teams will meet in head-to-head competition in pool play with each match consisting of two 30-point games. The tournament champion will be determined by game record. The scrimmages allow teams to face outside competition prior to the summer break and give the student-athletes a chance to play with newly implemented rules for the 2002 season.

This is the third exhibition weekend for the Cats as they will conclude the spring season next weekend at the Northwestern Invitational in Evanston, Ill. Last weekend, Kentucky captured the tournament championship at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington. Tournament action gets underway at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Seaton Center on UK's campus.
