Kentucky Volleyball Hosts Coaches Clinic

  • The Kentucky volleyball program will host its annual Coaches’ Clinic this weekend, March 24-25, at Memorial Coliseum on the UK campus. Spots still remain for the two-day event, which features UK’s Craig Skinner, the 2005 Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year, and Ron Kordes, the 2005 American Volleyball Coaches Association High School Coach of the Year.

    The clinic begins Friday, March 24 with registration at 5 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum. Coaches will attend two sessions the first evening before returning on Saturday for numerous morning teaching sessions with Skinner, Kordes, UK assistants Robert Pulliza and Jenae Dowling, UK strength coach Stephanie Tracey and former college coach and Nebraska administrator Diane Mendenhall.

    After a break for lunch, coaches will get to the chance to watch the UK staff implement the coaching strategies during a practice session with the Kentucky squad. Pre-registration is available at at walk-up participants are accepted.
