Volleyball to Hold Coaches Clinic March 25-26

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Kentucky volleyball staff has set its 2011 Coaches Clinic for March 25-26 in Memorial Coliseum. The clinic will feature the UK volleyball coaching staff. Other featured guests include former USA Youth National Team coach Jim Miret, Gwen Egbert who coached a 41-0 squad to the Nebraska high school state title in 2010, and Mike Lingenfelter the co-director of Munciana Volleyball Club.

The clinic will begin at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, March 25 with Miret addressing setter training concepts. Egbert will follow with a session on serving, and UK coach Craig Skinner will wrap-up Friday evening with training on warm-ups.

Coaches will return to Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, March 26 for sessions beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET. In addition to additional sessions by Egbert, Miret and Skinner, Lingenfelter, the will conduct sessions on running practices with more than 20 players and a session on drills for developing out of a system play.

Additionally, University of Dayton head coach Kelly Sheffield will join Skinner for a live interactive offensive and defensive coaching situation session to wrap-up the clinic Saturday afternoon.

Registration is on-going with the UK volleyball staff. Pre-registration costs $105 and registration at the door will be $115.
