Coach Braden on Gagnon: "Julie has an incredible energy and work ethic. She'll get in the trenches and do whatever it takes to help this team win. She has a 'bring it on' attitude and is physically up to the challenge." High School: Was named All-State by the Illinois High School Athletics Association in 2002 and earned All-Tournament team honors after leading her team to a fourth-place finish in the state tournament... Was unanimously named All-Conference in 2001 and 2002... Was recognized as the 2002 Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year... Was a Chicago Tribune All-State honorable mention as a junior and a senior... Was named Defensive Player of the Year for her team as a senior as well as Best Digger, Best Passer and Best Hitter as a junior and a senior... Played high school volleyball for Bill Schreier...
