LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team travels to Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday to open Southeastern Conference play with the Arkansas Razorbacks at 1 p.m. ET, before heading to Baton Rouge, La., to square off with LSU at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Ranked No. 53 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s latest rankings, Kentucky opens conference play with a 9-2 record, after recording three wins in a tripleheader at home on Tuesday. The Wildcats knocked off both Eastern Kentucky and Northern Kentucky 4-0, before defeating Abilene Christian in the nightcap 5-2.

Kentucky has been led in non-conference play by freshman Nadia Ravita and senior Jessica Stiles. The two have been solid at the top of the singles lineup for the Wildcats, with Ravita recording a 10-1 record in the No. 1 slot and Stiles notching a 7-2 record in the No. 2 spot.

The No. 50 Razorbacks are 5-5 heading into their first SEC match. Arkansas and Kentucky have one common opponent, No. 55 Ohio State. Arkansas fell 4-3 at home against the Buckeyes while Kentucky traveled to Columbus, Ohio, and knocked off Ohio State 4-3.

LSU heads into the first weekend of SEC play with a 7-3 record in the spring. The 63rd ranked Tigers will host Vanderbilt on Friday before their matchup with Kentucky. LSU and Kentucky have one similar opponent, No. 67 Tulane. The Tigers defeated Tulane 4-2 while the Wildcats fell 6-1 to the Green Wave.
