Cats Fall to Vanderbilt

The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team suffered a setback on Tuesday, Feb. 6, when they were defeated by the 11th-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores 7-0 in Nashville, Tenn.

The loss marks the second consecutive road defeat for the Wildcats and evens their record at 2-2 on the season. The Commodores, who have exploded out of the gate this season with an 8-0 record, also handed UK its first Southeastern Conference loss.

UK will look to get back on the winning track this Friday, Feb. 9, when the Michigan Wolverines travel to Lexington to battle the Cats in the Hilary J. Indoor Tennis Center at 4 p.m.
