No. 47 Kentucky Women's Tennis Drops Match at No. 22 Auburn

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky women's tennis dropped its final match of a four-match road stand on Sunday afternoon in Auburn, Ala., falling to No. 22 Auburn 4-0.
The Wildcats went down early as Auburn took the doubles matches on court two and three to clinch the doubles point.
Auburn's Emily Flickinger and Jackie Kasler finished first on court two, defeating senior Jessica Stiles and junior Cece Witten 8-1. The point was clinched when Khristina Blajkevitch and Stephanie Fox lost 8-4 on court three.
Junior Caitlin McGraw and freshman Nadia Ravita were trailing 7-6 on court one to the 26th-ranked doubles pair Pleun Burgmans and Plamena Kurteva when the match was abandoned due to the doubles point decision.
The first singles point decided was a rare loss for Ravita on court one. The 24th-ranked singles player lost 6-0, 6-3 to No. 36 Pleun Burgmans.
Shortly after, Auburn's Ashley Kitchen defeated Witten 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 6 singles position to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead in the match.
Auburn clinched the match on court three, as Jen Pfeifler took the No. 3 singles point from Blajkevitch with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
The match was called at decision, sealing a 4-0 win for Auburn.
Kentucky will look to bounce back on Friday, hosting No. 19 Vanderbilt at noon at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Complex.
