Gymnastics Takes to Road Against Ohio State
The Kentucky gymnastics team opens a four-meet road swing on Sunday when it travels to Columbus, Ohio, for a quad meet against Ohio State, West Virginia and George Washington.
Ohio State, ranked 18th nationally, is coming off a season best score on Friday despite its loss to 13th-ranked Denver. The Wildcats have already squared off with West Virginia this season, winning in a quad meet that also included Maryland and North Carolina.
A week ago, senior Krystle Cook won her second career all-around title in Kentucky's meet against Arkansas. She led the Wildcats to a season best beam score while scoring her 26th career title. She was one of four UK gymnasts to compete in the all around - the other three all being freshmen.
Sunday's meet is the first of four straight for Kentucky on the road, three of which will be quad meets. Following the four-meet run, UK heads to the SEC Championships at North Little Rock, Ark.
