LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team will tee off March 9th at the LSU Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La. The three-day event is being held at the University Club, a par-72, 6,305-yard layout.

The Wildcats face a tough field that consists of College of Charleston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, North Carolina, North Carolina State, UNC-Wilmington, Notre Dame, Purdue, Tennessee, TCU, ULM, Vanderbilt and Virginia.

Kentucky will tee off Friday morning from the first tee in ten minute intervals starting with junior Megan Moir at 9:00 a.m., followed by sophomore Liz Breed, senior Ashlee Rose, junior Betsie Johnson and junior Ashleigh Albrecht. As an individual, junior Heather Lott will tee off from the 10th hole at 8:40 a.m. All times are Central.

Kentucky finished 18th at the 2011 LSU Tiger Golf Classic with Lott leading the Wildcats with a 12-over-par 228.

The Cats are coming off an eighth-place finish at the UCF Challenge after shooting a 26-over-par 890 in the three day event. Albrecht led the Cats at the UCF Challenge with a top-20 finish, shooting a five-over-par 221.
