The University of Kentucky women's golf team currently sits in 10th place in its opening tournament of the fall season. The Lady Kats shot a team score of 325 in the opening round of the ACC/SEC Invitational Shootout in Destin, Fla.

Leading the way for UK was junior Kelly Anders. Anders finished the day with a round of 77, good enough for 17th place in the tournament. Other Lady Kat scores were Towa Okiyama and Rachel Lester with an 80, Eva Gessner with an 88, and Stacy Springer with an 89.

The second round of the Invitational with take place on Saturday, Sept. 29 with the tournament concluding on Sunday.
