Women's Golf Places Eighth at Mason Rudolph Invite

Franklin, Tenn. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team finished up their second tournament of the fall season, placing eighth at the Mason Rudolph Invitational in Franklin, Tenn. The Wildcats shot 20-over-par 308 on the final day and ended with a combined score of 48-over. Arizona won the invitational with a score of 25-over-par. Tough conditions all weekend at the Vanderbilt Legends Club North Course resulted in Arizona posting the highest winning score in the tournament’s 12-year history. Senior Betsie Johnson performed well for the Cats on the afternoon, carding a 1-over-par 73. Johnson recorded 15 pars and one birdie in the final round. She concluded the invitational tied for 41st at 16-over-par. Ashleigh Albrecht concluded the tournament with the lowest score among Wildcats of 12-over-par for the 54-hole stroke-play event. Albrecht finished tied for 23rd individually. Junior Liz Breed and senior Heather Lott both turned in a scorecard of 6-over-par 78 on the final day. Breed finished tied for 49th at 18-over while Lott was tied for 28th at 13-over. Cylia Damerau was 7-over-par on Sunday and was 14-over for the tournament.
