Women's Golf in Seventh after Day Two of Mason Rudolph

Franklin, Tenn. - The University of Kentucky women's golf team concluded their second round of the Mason Rudolph Invitational, shooting a 17-over-par 305 and sit in seventh place in the tournament.
"Today was a little bit of a struggle for our team," head coach Golda Johansson Borst said. "We got off to a tough start but the girls fought hard all day. Going into tomorrow, we will use what we learned yesterday and today as we prepare for our last round."
Senior Ashleigh Albrecht once again led the way for Kentucky after a two-over-par round with a score of 74. She posted 12 pars, four bogeys, and birdied the ninth and 18th holes. After today's action, she is tied for seventh just three shots off the lead.
Senior Heather Lott had another strong day for the Wildcats, ending the day with a score of four-over-par 76. She is tied for 25th individually after five bogeys, twelve pars and a birdie.
Cylia Damerau had a very strong day herself as she shot three-over-par 75. She had two birdies, and is tied individually with Lott in 25th. Liz Breed recorded two birdies on the day, carding an 8-over-par round with a score of 80. She ended the day tied for 47th.
The last round will resume on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. Johnson is scheduled to tee off first for UK at 8:00 a.m., with Lott , Breed, Damerau, and Albrecht to follow, respectively, in nine minute intervals.
The field consists of 15 teams including, Arizona, Chattanooga, Georgia, Memphis, Michigan State, North Carolina, Oregon, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.
