Kentucky in 19th after Two Rounds of NCAA East Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – With only 18 holes to play in the NCAA East Regional, the University of Kentucky women’s golf team sits in 19th place following a 16-over par, 304, in the second round at the SouthWood Golf Club. Through two rounds UK’s team score is 23-over par, 599. Final round action begins Saturday morning at 7:45 a.m. ET.
No. 12 Vanderbilt sits atop the team standings at 10-under par, 277, while No. 2 Duke (-4), Tulane (-2), No. 5 South Carolina (-2) and No. 20 Virginia (-1) complete the top five. Stanford’s Mariah Stackhouse is currently atop the individual standings at 5-under par, 139.
Freshman Haley Mills and sophomore Cylia Damerau lead the Wildcats at 4-over par, 148, which puts them in a tie for 46th entering Saturday’s final round. Mills posted a 3-over par, 75, on Friday, while Damerau carded the low UK round at 1-over par, 73.
Senior Liz Breed shot a 6-over par, 78, in the second round dropping her into a tie for 68th at 6-over par, 150, for the tournament. Sophomore Sarah Harris also recorded a 6-over par, 78, on Friday. Harris is 10-over par, 154, through two rounds placing her in a tie for 98th. Freshman Alessandra Walker rounds out the UK lineup in a tie for 109th with a score of 13-over par, 157. Walker shot 10-over par, 82, during Friday’s second round.
