LEXINGTON, Ky. - University of Kentucky women's basketball signee Bria Goss of Ben Davis High School was one of 39 senior prep standouts to be named to the Parade Magazine All-American team.

Goss, who was named Indiana Miss Basketball, is a 5-foot-10 guard and listed as the nation's 17th overall player and the No. 4 guard in the country, according to ESPN HoopGurlz. She averaged an impressive 21.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.2 assists per game for the Giants who won 81 straight games and back-to-back Class 4A state titles before losing in this year's state tournament. She concluded her prep basketball career with 1,604 points and was also named a WBCA and McDonald's All-American as well as Indiana's Gatorade Player of the Year.

Goss, along with fellow signee Azia Bishop, a 6-3 power forward/center from Start High School in Toledo, Ohio, make up the nation's No. 10 recruiting class, according to ESPN HoopGurlz. It marks UK Hoops Coach Matthew Mitchell's second consecutive top-10 recruiting class. Goss and Bishop also will be joined by Connecticut transfer Samarie Walker (West Carrollton, Ohio) and California transfer DeNesha Stallworth (Richmond, Calif.). Walker will have three years of eligibility remaining, beginning at the conclusion of the fall semester in December 2011 while Stallworth will sit out the 2011-12 season and have two years of eligibility remaining.
