Today’s attendance was a school-record 23,706, besting the previous high of 18,422 set vs. DePaul on Dec. 7, 2012 in Rupp Arena.
The attendance breaks the record for largest crowd ever to see a college women's hoops game in the Commonwealth -- the previous mark was 22,152 for the first Kentucky-Louisville game played in the KFC Yum Center Dec. 5, 2010.
It marked the first sellout in Rupp Arena for a women’s basketball and UK’s second sellout of the season. UK’s game vs. Louisville on Dec. 1 in Memorial Coliseum also was sold out.
