Team Records and Series Notes

  • UK fell to 11-1 on the season, while Duke improved to 12-1.
  • The Wildcats saw their 11-game winning streak come to an end. The 11-game winning streak tied for the second-longest winning streak in school history and in the Matthew Mitchell era.
  • Kentucky saw its 21-game winning streak vs. nonconference opponents and 44-game winning streak vs. nonconference opponents at home come to an end.
  • UK is now 22-13 all-time in Rupp Arena, including a 3-5 mark under Mitchell.
  • UK is now 2-1 this season vs. teams ranked in the top 10.

    • It marked the first sellout in Rupp Arena for a women’s basketball and UK’s second sellout of the season. UK’s game vs. Louisville on Dec. 1 in Memorial Coliseum also was sold out.
  • Next up: UK wraps up the nonconference slate on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. ET vs. Grambling State in Memorial Coliseum.

  • UK started with the lineup of Janee Thompson, Bria Goss, Kastine Evans, Makayla Epps and Samarie Walker.
    • The Wildcats are 0-1 this season when using this starting lineup.
    • Epps made her first career start.
  • Bria Goss scored the first point of the game for UK by knocking down 1-of-2 free throws.
  • Azia Bishop, Linnae Harper, Jennifer O’Neill, Bernisha Pinkett and Jelleah Sidney were the first UK players off the bench at the 15:40 mark in the first half.
  • The 24 first half points were a season low for Kentucky.
  • UK shot a season-low 28.6 percent (10-for-35) from the field, while Duke shot 48.3 percent (14-of-29).
  • Kentucky was only 1-of-7 (14.3 percent) from beyond the arc, while Duke was 1-of-4 (25 percent).

Individual Notes

  • Senior Samarie Walker pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.
