The Wildcat Day Camp brings together the idea of having fun and learning the different technical and tactical aspects of soccer. Day Camp is geared for the younger player looking to develop his or her skills at any level. We will help you develop as a player in many aspects of the game, including: Passing/Receiving, Finishing, Heading, Small-sided and Full-sided games. The full Day Camp will include added summer activities along with additional soccer training. We invite you to join us this summer for a fun and challenging week of soccer.

Each overnight camper will receive a Nike soccer ball, camp T-shirt and written evaluation.
All of our training sessions are created to challenge soccer players of all ages, levels and abilities. The morning technical training sessions are designed to train particular skills through repetition in different situations and levels of pressure, i.e. dribbling, finishing, passing and receiving. The afternoon tactical sessions are designed to increase the application of the skills learned in the morning session in varying decision-making environments in areas of the field and under certain conditions. The nightly 11v11 matches allow each camper to display the newly acquired skills in game conditions. It is a total and complete soccer education!

This camp is designed for the student-athlete who wants to pursue their soccer career after high school! The Elite Program is one of our most advanced, challenging, and competitive training programs we offer. The camp will also cover areas such as NCAA Academic Requirements, Strength and Conditioning program for the advanced player, and How the Recruiting Process Works.
Our philosophy is simple. We build a solid technical foundation and then challenge you to perform with limited time and space. At the end of this camp you will be physically and mentally drained. But you will have a clearer picture of your abilities, your purpose, and your commitment.

We welcome all types of teams comprised of 12 or more players to our camps. One coach may attend free and receive a Nike coach's package. Teams are housed together, train together and compete in our Camp League which features matches every night.

Camp Staff
Ian Collins
In his 18th season at Kentucky, Collins continues to build the men's program into a nationally recognized program. His 2008 team made the Conference USA Tournament championship game, finish runner-up in the C-USA regular season and end the season with a No. 21 national ranking. Two players from the 2006 squad have gone onto the professional ranks as Riley O'Neil signed with Eintracht Braunschweig (Germany) and Mike D'Agostino signed with Blackpool (England), who play in the Football League Championship, one level below the Premier League. In addition, former goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum helped guide the Columbus Crew to the 2008 MLS Cup. Former Striker Anthony Peters also signed with DC United in the MLS this past spring. In January 1993, Collins was awarded the Robert NcNulty Award as the outstanding coaching candidate at the United States Soccer Federation Coaching School. In 1994, Collins earned his USSF "A" coaching license and the NSCAA Premier Diploma. Two summers ago, Collins spent time in Europe working on his UEFA license.

Jon Lipsitz
On Dec. 16, 2008, Jon Lipsitz became the second head women's soccer coach in University of Kentucky history. Lipsitz, who owns a career record of 101-33-8 (.739) in seven seasons, comes to Lexington after spending the last four seasons as the head coach at Charlotte where he guided the 49ers to a 58-23-4 (.706) record including three straight Atlantic 10 titles in 2006, '07 and '08. Each season, Charlotte increased their win total, going from 11 in 2005, to 13 in 2006, to 16 in 2007, to a school record 18 in 2008.

Directions for Summer Day Camp:
Day camp and registration will be held at the UK Soccer Complex which is located on Alumni Drive midway between Nicholasville Road and Tates Creek Road. The entrance to the complex is off College Way near the old Coal Pile.
If using a GPS or Internet Maps, use the address 570 Wildcat Court, Lexington, KY 40502.
Directions for Other Summer Camps:
If using a GPS or Internet Maps, use the address 702 Sports Center Drive, Lexington, KY 40506. This will bring you into the parking lot next to the Dorms for camp.
From Cincinnati:
Take I-75 South to exit 108 (Lexington/Man-O-War Blvd). Take a right onto Man-O-War Blvd.
Follow Man-O-War Blvd for 3.3 miles until you reach the intersection of Alumni Dr and Man-O-War.
Turn Right onto Alumni Drive.
Follow Alumni Drive for 3.6 miles (Past the Soccer Complex and the Football Stadium) unitl you reach the intersection of Alumni Dr and University Dr.
Turn Right onto University Drive.
Follow University Drive 0.4 miles (Pass through stop light at intersection of Univesity Dr and Cooper Dr ) and turn right onto Complex Drive (First right after stop light).
The dorm complex and registration will be on your left in the Kirwan/ Blanding Housing Complex.
Continue to the end of Complex Dr and parking will be on your left and right or you may park on Complex Dr if space is available.
From Louisville :
Take I-64 east towards Lexington. I-64 will merge with I-75 on the northeast side of Lexington. Follow I-75 south to Exit 108 ( Lexington/Man-O-War Blvd.). Take a right onto Man-O-War Blvd and follow directions from Cincinnati .
