LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A year after a 13-win season, including five consecutive wins to finish the regular-season, the Kentucky soccer team has released its spring schedule, it was announced Monday by head coach Ian Collins.
“I am excited about the quality of our spring schedule,” Collins said. “We have many young and inexperienced players on the roster and this will give them a feel for top-level competition.”
UK will open the spring schedule by traveling to the Manchester Cup in Rock Hill, S.C., on Saturday March 27, hosted by Winthrop University. UK will play the College of Charleston at 1:45 p.m. and will face Davidson at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, April 3, UK will host four games at the UK Soccer Complex, with UK opening at 1 p.m. ET vs. Bellarmine. Centre vs. Cumberland’s will play at 2:15 p.m. and Bellarmine will play Centre at 3:30 p.m. UK will then face Cumberland’s at 4:45 p.m.
UK will then travel to Cincinnati to face off with the Bearcats on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m. ET.
The Wildcats will return home for another action filled Saturday on April 17. UK will host Dayton at 1 p.m. ET April 17, with Marshall playing Evansville at 2:15 p.m. Dayton at 3:30 p.m. UK will then play Evansville at 4:45 p.m. at the UK Soccer Complex.
UK will wrap up the spring portion of the schedule by traveling to Northern Kentucky University, facing off with Ohio State April 23 at 6 p.m.
