Golfers 15th After Two Rounds at Xavier




The University of Kentucky men's golf team stands in 15th place at the 2000 Xavier Provident Invitational after posting a two-round total of 604 following Monday's action at the Grizzly Tournament Course at The Golf Center at King's Island in Cincinnati. The Wildcats are 11 strokes behind front-runner Michigan.

Junior John Beckett stands in a tie for 11th place after posting another strong performance with a two round total of 145, just 3-over par. He is eight strokes behind Scott Hayes of Michigan, who leads the field with a 5-under par 137.

Senior Wes Furnish also posted an impressive day, as his 6-over par day was good enough to move him into 25th place.

Action concludes tomorrow with the final round beginning at 9:00 a.m.
