LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Kentucky men's golf team will appear in four fall tournaments and five spring tournaments, including a trip to Mexico for the third straight season, it was announced by head coach Brian Craig Friday. The Wildcats are aiming for a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships in Craig's 14th season at the helm of the UK program.

"We've put together another great schedule again this year," Craig said. "We will once again be playing on championship-level golf courses against top-notch competition as we prepare for postseason competition. I am confident that this schedule will get us ready for postseason play in the SEC and NCAA Championships. I can't wait to get started and continue to build on the momentum from last season."

The fall slate begins Sept. 12-14 at the Invitational at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, S.C., followed by an annual return to the Wolf Run Invitational in Zionsville, Ind., Sept. 20-21. The Wildcats finished third at the Wolf Run Invitational a season ago. Senior David Snyder had a good showing in Zionsville as a junior where he finished 13th overall which included a final round 71.

Kentucky will play twice in the month of October beginning with a date in Erin, Wisc., at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate. UK then concludes action in the fall months at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla., Oct. 27-28.

The Wildcats begin 2015 with a spring training trip to Florida in the middle of January before kicking off competition at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala., Feb. 23-24. Kentucky placed second overall in the event a season ago with Snyder finishing in 14th place and fellow senior Will Bishop placing 25th overall.

Kentucky then heads south of the border March 1-3 to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, for the Querencia Cabo Collegiate for the third consecutive season. Last season Craig and his squad earned a fourth place finish in the event. The Wildcats return to the U.S. for the Schenkel Invitational from March 20-22, in Statesboro, Ga., another event in which UK participated a season ago.

After the Schenkel Invitational, UK heads to Awendaw, S.C., for the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on March 29-31. It will mark the 10th consecutive appearance at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate for the Wildcats. Wrapping up the spring season, Kentucky will return to the Gary Koch Invitational in Gastonia, N.C., after taking a season off from the event. The two-day event runs April 6-7 and will be the final regular season tournament of the season for the Cats.

Postseason play begins April 17 and runs through April 19 for the SEC Championship at Seaside Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga. NCAA Regional action runs May 14-16 at three different sites that will be determined at a later date. The NCAA Championships will take place in Sarasota, Fla., May 29-June 3.

The Wildcats will look to return to postseason action and a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships in 2013-14 after an 18th place finish a season ago. UK charted eight top-five finishes a season ago which included a victory at its home event the Bluegrass Invitational.
