David Trainor enters his second season as associate head coach of the UK men's golf team and his seventh season with the program after joining the staff as a assistant coach in February 2005.

"I am thrilled to be at the University of Kentucky," Trainor said. "To work with a top program and learn from one of the best head coaches in Coach Craig is a tremendous honor. I will do everything I can to help UK and the golf team continue their winning tradition."

Trainor has been instrumental in the success of Kentucky golf, helping lead the Wildcats to their first SEC Championship in his first year at UK. He has a tremendous knowledge of the golf swing and how to play the game of golf. David is often behind the scenes doing many, many things that make our program function. He deserves a tremendous amount of credit for helping to create the opportunities that our players get to experience every day. David is a tremendous asset to our program and will be a top-notch head coach when the right opportunity presents itself."
