Summer 2010: Finished in the top five in four tournaments this summer, including first at the Kentucky State Amateur Qualifying event ... Posted a second-place finish at the Kentucky Open Qualifier ... Participated in qualifying for the US Amateur Qualifier, finishing fifth ... Posted solid finishes in the Kentucky State Amateur and the Kentucky Open.

2009-10: Kentucky native played in two tournaments for UK, including the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, where he recorded his best outing of the season ... Had a season stroke average of 76.17 ... Played in Kentucky's host tournament, the UK Bluegrass Invitational, where in the opening round of the event, he scored his second-lowest round of the season.

Summer 2009: Finished in 30th place at the Kentucky Am ... Finished fifth at the 2009 Stephens Oil Classic with a 2-under-par 70 at the 18-hole tournament ... Finished ninth at the U.S. Amateur Qualifier with a 72-67 in the 36-hole tournament ... Was first at the Cherry Blossom Invitational with impressive rounds of 68-69 in the 36-hole tournament ... Made the cut at the Kentucky Open and finished the tournament in the overall top 50 and tied for 29th in the amateur division.

2008-09: Played in two events for the Wildcats, posting a season stroke average of 80.67 ... Best finish of the year came at the Jacksonville University Invitational, where he finished tied for 32nd ... Posted a season-low 18-hole round of 78, a career low.

Summer 2008: Finished second in the Lexington City Amateur.

2007-08: Redshirt season.

High School: Was a two-time All-State selection as a member of the Magoffin County High School team ... Named the 2002 Pepsi Player of the Year ... Earned Musselman-Dunne Player of the Year honors in 2003 ... In 2004, Carpenter was named the KGA/PGA Player of the Year ... He had four top-10 finishes in AJGA events ... Recorded a pair of PGA Junior Series wins at Morgantown, W. Va., in 2003, followed by a 2004 win in Clemson, S.C.
