Lorenzen Injures Thumb
Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen sustained a sprained left (throwing) thumb during practice Thursday afternoon, October 18, at Commonwealth Stadium.

After throwing the ball, Lorenzen hit his thumb on the helmet of another player. X-rays were taken and showed no fracture.

Lorenzen will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. His status for the Georgia game will be determined on game day.

Coach Hal Mumme has no comment. He will not be available for interviews until after the game on Saturday.
