Cheerleader Coach Jomo Thompson explains it this way: "As the ball is placed on the tee and the referee blows his whistle and puts his hand in the air, the fans begin a long ?AAAAAAHHHHHH!" until the ball is kicked. As the ball is in the air, the fans yell ?C-A-T-S, CATS, CATS, CATS!?"
