Freshmen have two practices while veterans report. LEXINGTON, Kty. - Freshmen Have Two Practices: The Kentucky football freshmen practiced twice on Wednesday at the Nutter Training Center, one hour and 40 minutes in the morning and one hour, 35 minutes in the afternoon. Defensive coordinator Mike Major has been pleased with what he's seen from the 12 defensive recruits. "It's an outstanding group," Major said following the afternoon practice. "They have a lot of speed, great size, and know how to win because so many of them played on championship teams. They strive to be perfect and that's what we looked for when we recruited them. "They want to play to win, not just play to play." The veteran players reported to campus Wednesday afternoon. Media Day and team orientation activities will take place on Thursday. The first team practice is 10 a.m. Friday.
