Played very well in spring practice ... During the three spring scrimmages, he completed 19 of 27 passes (70.4 percent) for 276 yards and one touchdown ... Fits the mold of the pass/run quarterbacks who excelled in offensive coordinator Ron Hudson's system during Hudson's term at Kansas State ... New coaching staff likes his athleticism and playmaking ability and wants to get him on the field ...
