2011 (Freshman): Not eligible to play because he spent two years in prep school but practiced with the team.
Prep School: Played the 2009 and 2010 seasons at Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy ... Played mostly defensive end with occasional time at linebacker ... Current Wildcat Donte Rumph was his teammate in 2009 ... Coached by John Shuman ... Was selected to be a platoon sergeant and was in charge of 53 cadets.
High School: Played at Arundel High School in Gambrills, Md. ... Played sparingly until his senior season ... Got his senior season off to a great start with several quarterback sacks in the first two games, then sustained a broken arm that forced him to miss the remainder of his final campaign ... Coached by Chuck Markiewicz ... Also a member of the track and field team, competing in the high jump, long jump and triple jump ... Named the all-county high jumper.
