1999 (Junior): Was expected to be the team’s regular kicker, but redshirted after sustaining a leg injury in August … Dedicated to community service and was one of only 11 players chosen for the National “Good Works Team” selected by the American Football Coaches Association … Also a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year.
1998 (Sophomore): Enjoyed several highlights as UK’s starting kicker ... Set five school records ... Scored 81 points, breaking the mark for most points by a kicker in a season ... Set school records for extra points made and attempted in a season (48 of 51) ... Set the school career records for extra points made and attempted ... Made 11 of 15 field goals, ranking third in the SEC at 73.3 accuracy ... Hit the game-winning 33-yard field goal on the final play of UK’s 39-36 win at LSU ... Had a career-long 42-yard field goal against Georgia ... Also handled kickoffs ... Member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
1997 (Freshman): Selected to the Freshman All-SEC team by the Knoxville News-Sentinel ... Handled the kicking duties the last eight games after Brian Johnson was sidelined by a muscle strain ... Made 30-of-31 extra points and 4-of-7 field goals for a total of 42 points ... His missed extra point and one missed field goal came on blocks ... His first two field goal attempts were a pair of successful 30-yard kicks in the win over Alabama.
