Big Blue Madness Update

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Big Blue Madness, the first open practice opportunity for Kentucky's 2011-12 men's and women's basketball teams, is Friday, Oct. 14. This will be the seventh time Madness has been held at Rupp Arena. Fans will be allowed to enter Rupp Arena beginning at 6 p.m. the night of Big Blue Madness.
Blue-White Scrimmage: The Blue-White Scrimmage has been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Rupp Arena. Tickets are available for $10. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster and during regular hours at the UK Athletics Ticket Office (M-F, 9am-4pm) and the Rupp Arena Ticket Office.
Madness on TV: UK fans without tickets to Big Blue Madness have a variety of TV options for watching Kentucky’s first open practice opportunity. The UK IMG Sports Network will televise the festivities live, from 7-9:30 p.m. (ET), on WYMT-TV in Hazard; WKAG-TV in Hopkinsville; WSAZ-DT in Huntington; WKYT-TV in Lexington and on WMYO-TV in Louisville. Fans can also view Big Blue Madness live for FREE on the University of Kentucky website at www.ukathletics.com or ESPN3.
Kentucky is also one of 11 schools that will be featured in the sixth annual ESPNU Midnight Madness special on Oct. 14 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET on ESPNU.
FS South will replay the broadcast on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET to their entire footprint.
Other UK IMG Sports Network affiliates will carry Big Blue Madness on a tape-delayed basis, including WBKO-TV (9:00 p.m. CT) in Bowling Green; WTVW-TV in Evansville (10:30 p.m. CT) and WDKA-TV in Paducah/Cape Girardeau (9:00 p.m. CT).
