  • Kentucky improves to 29-8 on the season. North Carolina finishes its season at 29-8.
  • The Wildcats are 12-22 all-time against North Carolina and 1-2 against the Heels in the NCAA Tournament.
  • UK moves to 105-45 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and 15-1 in NCAA Tournament games held in the New York City metro area.
  • The Cats are now 14-18 in regional finals. Entering game, had not won in last four regional final games.
  • John Calipari is 32-12 in the NCAA Tournament.
  • Kentucky advances to the Final Four for the 14th time in program history and the first time since the 1998 season. The Wildcats will take on UConn in the national semifinals on Saturday.

Team game notes

  • The Wildcats used the starting combination of Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight, DeAndre Liggins and Josh Harrellson. UK is 17-6 with that starting lineup.
  • Doron Lamb was the first sub off the bench for Kentucky. It was his 20th time to be the first Wildcat off the bench.
  • Kentucky extended its streak of games with a 3-pointer to 786 games, the third-longest streak in the country.
  • Kentucky led 38-30 at the half. The Wildcats are 23-2 (22-2) when leading at halftime.
  • UK shot 46.7 pct. from the field in the first half, including 54.5 pct. (6-11) from 3-point range.
  • Five UK players reached double figures for the first time since March 12 against Alabama in the SEC Tournament

#1 Darius Miller

  • Has hit a 3-pointer in 24-straight games.
  • Finished with 11 points

#3 Terrence Jones

  • Moved to third on UK’s freshman scoring list with 584, passing DeMarcus Cousins (575).

#12 Brandon Knight

  • Extended his UK freshman scoring record with 22 points to move to 640 points.
  • Moved to tie for third place on SEC all-time 3-pointer list (84).
  • Averaged 18.5 points and four assists vs. UNC in two games.
  • Finished with a career-high-tying five 3-pointers, the most since knocking down five against LSU on Jan. 15, 2011.
  • Moved to sixth on UK’s single-season 3-pointer list with 84.
  • Five 3-pointers was second most by a UK freshman in an NCAA Tournament game.
  • Named NCAA Tournament East Region Most Outstanding Player.
  • Averaging 20.4 points, 3.6 assists, 29-65 from 3-point range and 51-60 from the free-throw line vs. top 25 teams.
  • Played every minute of the game.

  • Averaged 16 points and was 5-6 from 3-point range vs. UNC
  • Has hit multiple 3-pointers in back-to-back games.

#34 DeAndre Liggins

  • Named to NCAA Tournament All-East Region Team

#55 Josh Harrellson

  • Averaging 14.8 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 blocks in four NCAA Tournament games this season.
  • After not scoring in double-digits in the first half all season, has done so in each of the last two games.
  • Snapped streak of seven-straight made free throws.
  • Tied a season high with four made free throws.
  • Named to NCAA Tournament All-East Region Team
  • Had a career-high four assists.
