Team game notes

  • The Wildcats used the starting combination of Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, Doron Lamb, Anthony Davis and Marquis Teague for the first time this season.
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was the first sub off the bench for UK. It was his first time as the Wildcat sixth man.
  • Kentucky extended its streak of games with a 3-pointer to 821 games, the third-longest streak in the country.
  • With eight blocked shots, the Wildcats moved to third on the all-time NCAA team blocks list with 299.
  • The game was tie d 37-37, marking only the second time this season the Cats have been tied at the half. Kentucky beat Kansas 75-65 after being tied 28-28 at the half.
  • Kentucky attempted 28 3-pointers, the most since taking 33 against Chattanooga on December 17th.
  • The Wildcats have attempted 20 or more 3-pointers six times this season.

Individual game notes

#1 Darius Miller

  • Finished with 16 points, the most since scoring 17 points on senior night against Georgia.
  • With 16 points, moved to 41st on UK’s all-time scoring list with 1,178 career points.
  • Attempted a career high 17 shots.

#3 Terrence Jones

  • Tallied his third double-double of the season and the 16th in his career.
  • With 12 points, Jones is now five points shy of becoming UK’s 59th member of the 1,000-point club.
  • Selected to SEC All-Tournament Team.

#14 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

  • Came off the bench for the first time this season.
  • Fouled out for the fourth time this season.

#23 Anthony Davis

  • With three blocks, sits in fourth on the NCAA Freshman blocks list with 157.
  • Moved to sixth on UK’s career blocks list with 157.
  • Selected to SEC All-Tournament Team.

#20 Doron Lamb

  • With 11 points, scored in double figures for the 24th time this season.

#25 Marquis Teague

  • With 86 assists to 37 turnovers, Teague boasts a 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio over the last 16 games.
  • Committed zero turnovers for the first time since January 24th at Georgia.

#33 Kyle Wiltjer

  • Finished with eight points and three blocks.
  • Hit multiple 3s for the ninth time this year and first time since hitting three against Georgia on March 1.
  • Blocked career-high three shots.
  • Recorded multiple blocks for the fourth time this season and the first time since blocking two shots against Radford on Nov. 23.
