One of four returning starters for the Wildcats... Possesses great quickness and jumping ability for his height... Very effective on the offensive glass and a threat in transition as well... Consistent jumper... Name pronounced “jewels k-MAR-a,” and Jules is a nickname for Souleymane.

2001-02
Played in every game with 18 starts as a junior, including the last seven games... Has 117 blocks in his three-year career which ranks 9th all-time at UK... Was given the “Most Positive” award by the coaching staff... Had 11 points against Valpo in NCAA first-round action and followed with an eight-point, five-rebound performance against Tulsa... Had 10 points, seven rebounds and a block against Maryland... Averaged 9.7 ppg and 5.3 rpg during the three tournament games...
