LEXINGTON, Ky. – With heavy rains in the afternoon and evening in the Central Kentucky area, the midweek matchup between No. 1 Kentucky and Dayton has been pushed to a tentative 8:30 p.m. ET first pitch at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
Kentucky (27-2, 7-2 Southeastern Conference) had its original first pitch time of 6:30 p.m. ET altered due to heavy rains in the Central Kentucky area. Game officials met at 7 p.m. ET and determined that a 8:30 p.m. ET first pitch would be the new tentative first-pitch time.
UK will send freshman right-hander Chandler Shepherd (2-0, 3.33 ERA) to the mound for his sixth career start, facing off with Dayton (12-17) senior right-handed starter Tim Bury. The game will be broadcast live on the UK IMG Radio Network, available in Central Kentucky on WLAP 630-AM, in Louisville on WKJK 1080-AM or online at UKathletics.com.
