Brucato Named Head Coach at Bellarmine

John Brucato, who had held the post as an assistant swimming coach for the past 12 seasons at the University of Kentucky, has been named the first swimming and diving head coach at Bellarmine University, it was announced Monday.

Senior Tyler Reed posted a 1:34.96 in the men's 200-freestyle on Friday night to earn an 11th-place finish in the event at the 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, while sophomore diver Greg Ferrucci continued to impress at his first NCAA Championship, recording a top-10 finish in the men's three-meter springboard competition.

Sophomore diver Greg Ferrucci powered his way to an 11th-place finish on the one-meter springboard at day one of the 2012 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday night by way of scoring a 342.55, finishing higher than any other SEC diver in the field.
