LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky rifle team will return to action Sunday morning, hosting No. 15 Tennessee-Martin at 8 a.m.

"It's exciting to get back after we had a great match last weekend," UK head coach Harry Mullins said. "We're going into a long stretch of having matches back to back and this is the start of that. I think this match will give everyone a great opportunity to show what they've been working on."

Kentucky enters Sunday's match as the No. 2 team in the country, according to the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association. The Wildcats moved up one spot after posting school records in a win over No. 4 Army. Kentucky's 2348 in smallbore and 4716 aggregate went down as program bests. Individually, senior Henri Junghänel recorded UK bests in smallbore (592) and aggregate score (1186).

"It was really neat when the first team shot a 4716 last weekend and it was tough for the next group to continue that high," Mullins said. "I think this will give the guys the opportunity to show what they've been working on."

Tennessee-Martin will face Morehead State on Saturday before traveling to Lexington. The Skyhawks entered the weekend 0-2, after falling to Memphis and Murray State. The UTM Mixed squad finished seventh at the Ole Miss Invitational while the UTM Women finished 11th.

"Overall, we've had some really good performances in training this week and are hoping to continue those into the match," Mullins said. "Our score may not be as high as last weekend but we want to keep our performance and intensity at that level."

Live scoring of Sunday's match with UT-Martin will be available on interactive.ukathletics.com/rifle.
