Owned a 584.33 average in air rifle and a 571.78 average in smallbore ... Charted a season-high 591 against N.C. State and Ohio State in air rifle ... Added 589s in air rifle against Memphis and Ole Miss ... In smallbore, shot a season-best 577 against Memphis ... Broke 575 in smallbore four times ... Had a 580 or better in eight of nine official matches ... Earned second-team All-GARC honors in air rifle.

Fretts enters into her junior year with a fire in her eyes. Being the competitor that she is she has come back this season determined to make an impact. The first few weeks of training have been intense as she has overhauled many of her positions and match strategy because she knows the potential that lies within her. With that determination she will be a valuable asset to keep the team working to continually get better.

Katie has learned a lot over the past two years. This will be the year that she will put many of those things to work. So far this season she has solidified her positions in a manner to produce a lot of the results she is looking for. Over the course of this season she will produce some of her best performances in her career. I am excited to see her compete this season. She is coming into this season very hungry.
