Swimming and Diving Announces 2015-16 Open Tryouts
LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky Swimming & Diving head coach Lars Jorgensen has announced the UK Swimming program will hold open tryouts for the 2015-16 academic year.
The tryout session is open to all female full-time, academically eligible UK students. Those interested are required to attend a meeting on Wednesday, September 30th at 12:00 p.m. ET at Lancaster Aquatic Center to discuss tryout protocol.
The tryout practice period will last for two weeks. During this time, training will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon until 1:00 pm at the Lancaster Aquatic Center. Tryouts will begin on Oct 12th and run through Oct 23rd.
Prior to the tryout practices, the student is required to have the following completed: physical, sickle cell test and full-time enrollment verification. It is preferred, but not required, that the student is registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center. To register for the NCAA Eligibility Center, visit: www.ncaaeligibilitycenter.org.
