LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Kentucky volleyball team will add a top 15 signee in middle blocker Brooke Morgan and an instate All-State defensive specialist in Harper Hempel to complete the 2015 class, head coach Craig Skinner announced on Thursday.
With the addition of Morgan and Hempel, the Wildcats have rounded out a five-member 2015 class. The two will join UK’s fall signees in setter Olivia Dailey (Trussville, Ala.), outside hitter Anna Nyberg (Tomahawk, Wis.) and defensive specialist McKenzie Watson (Louisville, Ky.).
Morgan hails from Dike, Iowa, and is considered the No. 12 player in her class by PrepVolleyball.com and a member of the Volleyball Magazine Fab 50. An all-around athlete, Morgan also garnered all-conference accolades as a standout basketball player and track athlete. Furthermore, she is a two-time Academic Excellence Award winner.
“Brooke really adds another dimension to our recruiting class as an imposing presence at the net,” Skinner said. “She's a high character person along with being one of the top middles in the country. We can't wait to start working with her and her fantastic potential.”

“Harper came to Kentucky as a student and quickly realized she wanted more,” Skinner said. “She called us and said she wanted a chance. She came in the gym and immediately earned all of our respect. She's a fantastic addition to our backcourt. We're lucky to have her in the program.”
