Jan. 26, 2012

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Junior Stephanie Klefot and head coach Craig Skinner were honored by Volleyball Magazine in its NCAA season wrap-up in the February 2012 edition of the publication.

Klefot was honored as a second-team All-America selection after leading the Wildcats with more than 600 digs and to an NCAA Regional appearance. Klefot was tabbed the Southeastern Conference Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season as the Blue and White finished second overall in the conference standings.

Skinner was an honorable mention selection for the publication's Coach of the Year candidates. The seventh-year head coach has led his squad to the NCAA Tournament in every season at the helm of the program. This year's team was ranked in the top 25 of both major polls for 10 weeks, charted a 28-6 overall record, had a record-breaking six athletes earn All-SEC accolades, tied a program record with three American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America honors and advance to the NCAA Regionals for the second time in three seasons under his direction.

Kentucky has returned to the court for off-season workouts and will play spring competition later in the semester. UK will return eight letter winners and six starters to the 2012 squad.
