No. 34 Kentucky Hosts No. 20 Auburn, No. 6 Alabama

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 34 University of Kentucky women’s tennis team will finish its home season against two ranked opponents, No. 20-ranked Auburn University and No. 6-ranked University of Alabama. Kentucky will host Auburn, Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. ET and Alabama, Sunday, March 30 at 12 p.m. ET at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Center.

Kentucky (14-6, 4-4 SEC) will look to get its first win after dropping three consecutive matches to Ole Miss, Georgia and Tennessee. Heading into their match against Auburn, the Wildcats have one ranked player and a ranked doubles team in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. Sophomore Nadia Ravita is ranked 65th nationally and the duo of Kelsey Dieters and Cece Witten checks in at No. 74.

Auburn (15-4, 5-2 SEC) is coming off of a 4-1 win against South Carolina after dropping back-to-back matches. When the two programs met last season, Auburn ousted the Wildcats, 4-0. Auburn is lead by No. 75 Emily Flickinger, who boasts a 12-2 dual match record.

Alabama (15-2, 7-0 SEC) is undefeated in Southeastern Conference play and holds an 11-match win streak. The Crimson Tide head into Sunday’s match with a 4-3 win over fourth-ranked Florida. Alabama has four nationally ranked doubles teams and four ranked singles players.

Preluding Sunday’s match, Kentucky will host senior day activities to honor seniors Cece Witten and Caitlin McGraw.
