UK will be back in action in approximately 30 minutes as the Wildcats take on the host Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana.

Kentucky began the game by scoring two runs in the bottom of the first. Dill reached base with a crafty bunt that the Lady Jacks could never really control and a poor first attempting to get the quick-footed shortstop failed. Dill was able to scoot to second on the error. Following a ground-out, Joiner laid down a bunt and Stephen F. Austin never covered first enabling Joiner to reach not only first but all the way to second as the throw went to third trying to catch Dill. Riley then smacked a single through the left side that brought in Dill from third. Joiner was able to shift to third on the play and would come home on O'Brien's sacrifice fly that reached deep into the left-center gap for the 2-0 advantage.

UK struck for another run in the home half of the second to stretch its lead to 3-0. Smith led off the inning with a double into the right-center gap. Dill wasted little time in driving in the run with a single up the middle to extend her hitting streak to 13 consecutive games.

The Wildcats increased its lead to 6-0 with three runs scored in the third inning. Joiner led off the frame by earning a walk. A Riley single into center placed runners on the corners. O'Brien drove in her second run of the game with a slicing single into right field. Sophomore Ginny Carroll loaded the bases with a beautifully-placed bunt. Smith then notched an RBI by drawing the second walk of the stanza. The final run of the inning rounded home on a wild pitch.

UK's offense continued to click on all cylinders as Riley continued her hot-hitting with her third hit of the game. This time it was a solo homer over the left field fence to stretch UK's lead to 7-0. O'Brien also picked up her second hit of the game coming in the form of a double into right field just narrowly missing out on a homer of her own.

The squads traded solo homers in the fifth and sixth innings. Stephen F. Austin bridged the gap to 7-1 with a solo homer in the top half of the fifth. Cumbess responded with a blast of her own that was smacked over the left field fence to increase UK's advantage back to seven at 8-1, but the Lady Jacks answered with their second homer of the game.

Two runs in the home half of the sixth made the final 10-2 margin for the Wildcats. Joiner got things going with her second hit of the game with a single into the right-center gap. Riley reached base for the fourth time in the game after getting nicked with a pitch. Following the second out of the inning, Carroll and Cumbess both reached on back-to-back walks with Cumbess' resulting in driving in Joiner for the first run of the stanza. Smith then smacked a single into left field for the walk-off game-winning hit.
