UK Gymnastics Hosts Blue-White Meet Saturday at 4 p.m.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky gymnastics team will host its Blue/White meet Saturday at 4 p.m. ET in Memorial Coliseum. Admission to the annual intrasquad competition is free.
The event will be UK’s first chance to compete in Memorial Coliseum this season and will act as one of UK’s final tune-ups before the 2014 campaign begins a month-and-a-half later.
The Wildcats, who finished 21st in the national rankings last season, return 13 gymnasts from the 2013 squad that posted the program’s highest-ever NCAA Regional team score of 195.925. UK earned a Regional bid thanks to a record-tying 6-1 home record in 2014, helped by the best home attendance in more than 15 years.
UK’s challenging 2015 home schedule features five home meets, highlighted by an Excite Night matchup vs. LSU and Arizona State on Jan. 16.
In addition to LSU, who finished third nationally last season, UK welcomes the reigning SEC champions Alabama, who finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, to Memorial Coliseum in 2015. Kentucky also hosts dual meets with SEC foes Arkansas and Auburn and a Senior Night matchup with Pittsburgh and Ball State.
Season tickets for the 2015 season are on sale now and are $15 for reserved seats. For more information on season tickets, or to purchase season or single meet tickets, go to UKathletics.com/tickets.
