Gymnastics Ranked 12th Nationally in Attendance

LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the 10th consecutive year the University of Kentucky gymnastics team is ranked in the top 15 in average home attendance, coming in at No. 12 this season with a mark of 2,306 fans per home meet, according to GymInfo Rankings released this week.

Kentucky's No. 12 ranking this season is the highest for the program since 2008, when UK was ranked 10th with an average of 2,402. The 2,306 average is the sixth highest in program history and the highest for the program since the 2008 season. Utah led the nation in home attendance by average with a mark of 13,501, while 2011 NCAA National Champion Alabama is second at 12,730.

In addition, Kentucky's season-high crowd of 3,545 at Excite Night this season ranked the Wildcats 11th in home attendance by highest home meet.

UK was an impressive 5-2 this season at Memorial Coliseum with a home regional qualifying score of 194.820. The 5-2 record is the best for Kentucky since the Wildcats went 6-2 in 2006.
