#KWG Improves on Day Two of Darius Rucker Intercollegiate
HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Kentucky women's golf team beat its first-round score in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate with a 310 on another tough day Saturday at the Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C. All but one team shot over par in a field that features 12 of the top 20 teams in the country.
The Wildcats hold 17th place with a total of 619 heading into the final day of play on Sunday.
No. 6 Duke leads the field at eight-over par, followed by No. 8 LSU at nine-over par. Rounding out the top five are No. 3 Southern California at 13-over par, No. 9 Mississippi State at 23-over par and host team No. 2 South Carolina at 24-over par.
Junior Sarah Harris currently sits in the top 40 and in a tie for 34th place after firing a three-over-par 74, which brings her to a two-day total of 150 (eight-over par). Not far behind and just outside the top 50 is sophomore Ale Walker, who followed her five-over-par round of 76 on Friday with a six-over-par 77 on Saturday.
Tyler, Texas native Haley Mills is in a tie for 74th place after a 10-over-par round Saturday. She has a two-day total of 158 (16-over par).
Freshman Isabelle Johansson improved after a tough round yesterday. Johansson shot 77 (six-over par) Saturday and moved up to tie for 79th place on the leaderboard.
Freshman Grace Rose totals a 163 (21-over par) after a second-round 82. She currently sits in a tie for 84th place.
