UK Hoops to Celebrate SEC Title Sunday Night in Memorial

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Head coach Matthew Mitchell and the University of Kentucky women's basketball team invites the Big Blue Nation to Memorial Coliseum tonight to help celebrate the Wildcats' first Southeastern Conference regular season championship title since 1982.  Admission is free and fans may enter through the Lexington Avenue side of the Coliseum. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET and the Wildcats are expected to arrive at approximately 7 p.m. ET.

The Wildcats, who have won at least a share of the SEC title, will have a net-cutting ceremony, sign autographs and Coach Mitchell will address the crowd. A win over Mississippi State today at 1:30 p.m. ET in Starkville, Miss., will give the Cats the outright SEC title.

Parking is available in the following surface lots.

  • Student Center Lot - off Euclid Ave
  • MLK South Lot - between Lexington Ave and MLK Blvd. and south (towards Euclid) of the center drive lane.  DO NOT PARK IN NORTH MLK LOT (closest to Wildcat Lodge) AS THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL LOT AND SUBJECT TO TICKET/TOW
  • Handicapped Parking (first come-first served until full) is located in the Northeast corner of the MLK South Lot, must have valid state-issued hang tag
  • Joe Craft Center North E-Lot - large lot located north of the Joe Craft Center, and accessible via Lexington Avenue or Rose St.
  • Good Samaritan surface Lot - accessible off MLK Blvd
  • Free parking is NOT available in Parking Structure #5
