Team Records and Series Notes

  • UK improved to 7-0 on the season, giving the Wildcats their first 7-0 start since 2011-12 and third time in the Matthew Mitchell era.
  • Kentucky’s all-time record is 693-477 (.592) in 40 seasons of varsity basketball.
  • The win makes UK 376-141 all-time in Memorial Coliseum, including an 86-13 mark under Mitchell.
  • The Cats are 68-3 at home over the last five seasons (including two games at Rupp Arena).
  • Mitchell is in his seventh season as the head coach of the Wildcats and owns a record of 151-62 at UK. Overall, Mitchell is 181-91 in nine seasons.

First Half Notes

  • UK started with the lineup of Janee Thompson, Bria Goss, Kastine Evans, DeNesha Stallworth and Samarie Walker.
    • The Wildcats are 7-0 this season when using this starting lineup.
  • Samarie Walker scored the first points of the game for UK with a floater in the lane.
  • Azia Bishop, Linnae Harper, Jennifer O’Neill, Bernisha Pinkett and Jelleah Sidney were the first UK players off the bench at the 14:57 mark in the first half.
  • Kentucky used a 25-0 run midway through the first half to take a 51-21 lead.
  • The 25 straight points for UK were a season-long run.
  • The Wildcats scored a season-high 59 points in the first half. The 59 points are the most since UK scored 65 vs. Morehead State on Nov. 11, 2011.
  • It marks the third time this season UK has scored 50-plus points in the opening half.
  • Walker recorded her third double-double of the season in the first half with a game-high 14 points and 10 rebounds.

  • UK began the second half with the same starting five who started the game.
  • The Wildcats led by as many as 42 points in the second half.
  • UK scored 58 points in the half. It is the fourth time this season the Wildcats have produced 50 or more second half points.
  • Kentucky used an 11-0 run late through the half to take a 107-71 lead.
  • Linnae Harper scored eight of her 10 points in the second half.
  • DeNesha Stallworth scored 11 of her 13 points and grabbed six of her 10 rebounds in the second half.

Team/Game Notes

  • Kentucky improved to 42-0 when scoring 100 or more points and 10-0 in the Mitchell era. It marks the third time this season UK has eclipsed the century mark.
  • The 117 points were the most in the Mitchell era and second-most in school history.
  • Stallworth and Walker recorded double-doubles on the afternoon, marking the first time two players have notched double-doubles in the same game since Jan. 6, 2013 vs. Alabama when Stallworth and Walker both did it.
  • Kentucky dished out 22 assists, marking the fifth time this season the Wildcats have handed out 20-plus helpers.
  • The Wildcats shot 45-of-89 (50.6 percent) from the field. The 89 field goal attempts were a season high.
  • UK converted on a season-high 10 3-pointers.
  • All 11 Wildcats in uniform played at least 11 minutes and scored at least five points.
  • Six Wildcats finished in double figures.

Individual Notes

  • Senior Samarie Walker notched her third double-double in her last four games and 14th of her career with a career-best 22 points and 14 rebounds.
    • Walker is the first player to have 20-plus points and 10-plus rebounds since she did it vs. Alcorn State on Dec. 28, 2012.
    • Her eight made field goals tie a career high, while her 13 attempts were a season best.
    • Walker extended her streak of consecutive games with at least one steal to 26 after recording two on the day.
  • Senior DeNesha Stallworth registered her second double-double of the season and 23rd of her career with 13 points and 10 rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting from the field.
    • Stallworth recorded a season-high three blocks.
  • Senior Kastine Evans finished with 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field.
    • Evans has reached double figures in six of seven games this season and 22nd times in her career.
    • Her six field goals made and 12 field goals attempted were both season highs. She also dished a career-high tying five assists.
  • Junior Jennifer O’Neill tied her season high with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting to go with four boards and four assists.
    • O’Neill has registered 10-plus points in six of seven games this season.
    • Her four rebounds were a season high.
  • Junior Jelleah Sidney scored a career-high nine points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting, including her first made 3-pointer of the season.
  • Freshman Linnae Harper finished with 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting.
    • Harper has scored 10-plus points three times this season.
  • Sophomore Janee Thompson picked up her fourth double-digit game of the season with 10 points.
  • Freshman Makayla Epps tied her career highs in points (9), assists (6), 3-point field goals made (1), 3-point field goals attempted (3), while setting a career high in steals with three.
  • Junior Bria Goss tied her season high in rebounds with five.
