Men's Tennis Travels for SEC Indoor Championships

LEXINGT ON, Ky. -- Ranked No. 14 in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s preseason poll, the Kentucky men’s tennis team starts its spring slate of meets at the Southeastern Conference Coaches’ Indoor Championships on Friday.
The tournament will be played at the Racquet Club of the South in Norcross, Ga.
UK sophomore sensation Eric Quigley, who is ranked No. 8 this preseason, is seeded No. 3 in the tournament. Along with Quigley, sophomore Alex Musialek, juniors Brad Cox and Alberto Gonzalez, and senior Alex Lambropoulos will be playing in the singles round of 64. Recent newcomers Matt Davis and Anthony Rossi will also play in the singles round.
In doubles action, the Wildcats send three teams to the indoor championships. Cox and Quigley, who are ranked No. 9 in the preseason poll, are seeded No. 2 in the tournament. Lambropoulos and Gonzalez make up the second doubles team for Kentucky, with Rossi and Musialek playing in Kentucky’s final double spot.
