Men's Soccer Holds Winter Camp

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Kentucky men’s soccer program will hold 12 total sessions of its annual Winter Soccer Camp, UK head coach Ian Collins announced.
The Winter Soccer Training Camp will consist of technical and tactical development, fitness training, games and specialized goalkeeper training for boys and girls, ages 6-18. The sessions are conducted by the UK soccer coaching staff and will be held in 12 sessions.
The first Winter Soccer Training Camp session will be held on Sundays in January, Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31, from 6-7 p.m. ET for ages 6-11 and 7-8 p.m. for ages 12-18. The Monday sessions will be held Jan. 11, 18, 25 and Feb. 8, from 6-7 p.m. for ages 6-11 and 7-8 p.m. for ages 12-18. The Wednesday sessions will be held Jan. 13, 20, 27 and Feb. 10, with ages 6-11 from 6-7 p.m. and ages 12-8 from 7-8 p.m.
Kentucky wrapped up a 13-win season in 2009 that saw UK soar to a program-record No. 13 national ranking. UK opened the season with a school-record start and finished the regular-season with five consecutive conference wins to clinch a postseason berth. At the end of the year, senior defender Barry Rice was named All-America, marking the first UK player to earn All-America accolades in consecutive seasons.
